I'm Yew Lee Yin, born in Malaysia and currently based in Shanghai, China. with a BA (Hons) in Interior and Architecture Design from First City University College, Malaysia

 

I have over 4.5 years of professional experience, including 2.5 years in Malaysia and 2 years in Shanghai.

 

I love Sketching and hand crafting. My work is driven by a deep love for Arts and Design. I'm fascinating with exploring the uniqueness of Art history and cultures. I believe that great design is not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also tells a story and reflects the identity of its users.

 

In my past 3 years working in Malaysia, I gained diverse experience in Restaurant and bar design, Healthcare design, Office design, Retail design, and Residential design. Some of my completed projects include two restaurants, Ferria & Sushi Mew located in Westin Hotel, and a florist shop MissJ Florist. where I blended local cultural elements with modern aesthetics. 

 

In 2024 year I started my career path in Shanghai. As a designer, i want to challenge myself and develop my professional skills, experience personal growth, and gain insights into other cultures, to exploring the intersection of culture and design to create meaningful designs. 

 

Last year, I had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across China, further expanding my expertise in interior design.I was involved in two Hospitality design, in Dali and Guangdong where I contributed to the conceptualization and execution of a boutique hotel that seamlessly integrated local cultural elements with modern aesthetics. This project allowed me to explore the rich heritage of  the culture and translate it into a unique guest experience.​
